Trudoxhill – is conveniently situated just off the A361 between Frome and Shepton Mallet. Within walking distance of Nunney with it’s famous castle ruins, the perfect place to amble after a West Country breakfast. A short stroll into the village is The White Hart which offers good home cooked food with local produce being a speciality. For those staying longer, there are a number of good country pubs within a 5 mile radius and some fine restaurants in Frome, that we will happily put you in contact with.

Frome – The Place to Stay is situated 5 miles from the centre of this pretty medieval Somerset market town. Explore Catherine Hill and Cheap Street and we can assure you, you will not be disappointed! The Black Swan Arts Centre with galleries, shops, café and historic Round Tower. Frome also has two theatres with a wide variety of entertainment, a cinema and Leisure Centre. On the first Sunday of the month from March – December, Frome hosts, the now famous, Independent artisan market.

You can explore your way through the famous maze, wander through the butterfly garden, take a boat ride to see sea lions and gorillas, fish and picnic in the grounds or meet the Lions of Longleat. Whatever your choice you will be guaranteed a fun-filled day. There are also Halloween, Firework and Christmas events coming up so why not check those out too! We can offer tickets to Longleat with an exclusive 25% discount. Longleat is open from March – November. This historic city with it’s world famous Roman Baths, Thermae Spa, fabulous shopping and endless array of bars and restaurants is a definite must for a day out. Why not try an open bus tour and take in the splendid views.

Stourhead Stately Home and Gardens

Enjoy a delightful walk around the beautiful gardens and Stately Home as well as enjoying the National Trust shop and restaurant, and not forgetting the Farm shop and Pub. If you’re a national trust member, you’re in luck – parking is free!

An Iron Age hill fort, is a challenge for walkers and can be seen from The Place To Stay. Once conquered, there are unrivalled 360 degree views across Wiltshire and Somerset. Maybe finish your challenge with a visit to one of the many local pubs in the area that we can recommend.

Shepton Mallet, Kilver Court

Kilver Court Designer Village with its designer outlets and secret gardens is the perfect way to spend a few hours. Designer outlets include Mulberry, Jack Wills, Carat London, L.K Bennett London, Mackintosh, Bottletop, Behrens, Liberty London and many more. There is also a restaurant and café.

Glastonbury/ Glastonbury Tor

Glastonbury is a unique place with plenty of quirky shops and cafes. A great place to spend an afternoon. It has a lot to offer with its many museums and attractions.

Glastonbury Tor offers magnificent views of the Somerset Levels, Dorset, Wiltshire and Wales. Steeped in history and legend, excavations at the top of the Tor have revealed the plans of two superimposed churches of St Michael, of which only a 15th-century tower remains.
